Review

Ted is hilarious and at the same time sweet in its story. The movie charts John Bennett who wished as a child that his teddy bear, Ted, would come to life. As they grew older, complications set in on their friendship, leading to hilarious and often outrageous situations.

Better than ever, the chemistry between Mark Wahlberg and CGI animated Ted makes for witty and believable conversations. The film doesn't skimp on the dialogue, blending comedy with clever comments to keep audiences glued to the screen and laughing.

However, at times, the humor does reach extremes that may not come off across to all. Also, at places, the thinness of the plot makes one feel that comic conventions have supplanted character development.

All that said, Ted is an enjoyable film for those who want a good laughing fit--not ground-breaking, but nearly exhilarating entertainment.
