Review
Longlegs is a deeply intense film about a survivalist living in a world that could best be described as focused on survival itself. It's about a few people trying to survive in a perilous world filled with huge, scary anacondas. The protagonist has to deal with personal struggles, but avoiding the potentially lethal claws of giant monsters is far more difficult.
Amazing visual effects and a real thrill to the plot. A story about courage, perseverance, and survival. Longlegs will get you on the edge of your seat as far as thrillers about adventure and action are concerned.
However, there was some stuff I didn't like about Longlegs. First off, sometimes it seems very slow-paced; those long, kill-time segments with the emotional poem pretty much take up the whole running time. And although the designs of the monsters are really cool, they sometimes come off as exaggerated and detract from the story itself.
Longlegs is a thrilling and fun-filled movie. I believe it could have been better if there was a little more balance in the story. If you're into the special effects and action, you will enjoy this one. But if you're more into a deeper plot, that's not this.
